# FMS — Individual User Guide (Version 1)

This text can be published as manual pages in **Admin → CMS → Manuals** (some starter guides are already there).

## Getting started

1. **Register** → *Individual*: enter your name, email, country and a password, and accept the terms.
2. Open the email we send you and click the link. Your account is ready straight away.
3. Go to **Accounts → Add account** and add your main bank account with its current balance. Add cash, wallets and cards the same way.

## Recording money

Tap **Add** (on a phone it is in the bottom bar).

| Choose | Use it for |
|---|---|
| **Expense** | Anything you spend. From a credit card it is recorded as a card purchase. |
| **Income** | Salary, interest, gifts received |
| **Transfer** | Moving money between your own accounts. Not counted as income or spending. Also used to pay a credit card or an EMI. |
| **Refund** | Money returned for something you bought. It reduces that category's spending. |

You can attach a photo or PDF of the receipt (on plans that include attachments). **Save & add another** keeps you on the form.

You never need debits and credits: FMS works out the right entry from the accounts you choose.

## Credit cards

- Add the card as an account, with the amount you owe today, the statement day and the due day.
- Card purchases count as spending once. Paying the card from your bank is a **Transfer** and is not counted again.
- The card page shows the latest statement: balance, spending in the period, payments since, and what is still due by the due date.

## Loans & EMIs

- **Loans & EMIs → Add loan**: enter the amount, interest rate and number of months. FMS shows the EMI and builds the full schedule.
- If you choose "Money received into", the loan amount is added to that account. It is not counted as income.
- Use **Record payment** for each EMI. The interest part counts as spending, and the rest reduces what you owe.

## Budgets

**Budgets → New budget**: set a monthly limit for the categories you want to watch. A limit on a main category includes its sub-categories. You see what you have spent and what is left, or by how much you are over.

## Recurring transactions

**Recurring → New schedule**: salary, rent, subscriptions and so on, repeating daily, weekly, monthly or yearly. They are recorded automatically on their dates. Pause one any time.

## Savings goals

Set a target and an optional date. Add money as you save (or a negative amount to take some out). FMS tells you how much to save each month to reach the goal on time.

## Net worth

Add things you own (home, vehicle, gold) and money you owe outside loans and cards. Net worth = your accounts + what you own − what you owe.

## Reports

**Reports** includes:
- daily transactions
- monthly income and expense
- account statement
- spending by category
- budget vs actual
- cash-flow summary
- savings progress
- loan schedule
- card statement

On plans with exports, choose PDF, Excel or CSV. The file is prepared in the background, and you get an email when it is ready under **My downloads**. Files are kept for 7 days.

## Your plan

- **Subscription** shows your plan, invoices and payments.
  - **Free trial**: available once per plan.
  - **Paying while a plan is running**: adds the new period after the current one ends.
  - **Cancelling**: you keep the plan until the end of the period you paid for.
- **If a paid plan ends**: you keep its features for a short grace period. After that you move to the Free plan. Nothing is deleted; features outside Free become view-only until you renew.

## Settings & security

**Settings** lets you change your name, mobile, country, currency (only before your first transaction) and timezone. You can also change your email, which you then confirm again, and your password.

Need help? **Help & support → New request**. Never include passwords or full card numbers.
